Hand on Heart e.V

Our mission and commitment

Hand on Heart e.V., founded in 2019 in Saarbrücken, aims to support selected regions in Africa, with a particular focus on disadvantaged people and individuals with disabilities.

The organization focuses its actions on promoting autonomy, education and vocational training for children and young people, access to healthcare, and the development of infrastructure projects in less developed regions of Africa.

Hand on Heart e.V. also places strong emphasis on environmental protection and raising awareness of environmental issues to contribute to sustainable development.

Hand on Heart e.V. supports individuals and communities facing vulnerability, exclusion or hardship. We do not act on behalf of people, but with them, taking into account their realities, dignity and priorities.

Our vision

We believe in a solidarity that is:

1- Rooted in real-life action

We regularly organize cultural and community events that foster connections between people: annual galas, multicultural festivals, concerts, workshops… Each initiative is an opportunity to share, discover and connect in a welcoming and respectful environment.

2- built over time

Educational support, career and academic guidance, access to information, and the well-being of children and parents are among our priorities.

Through interactive workshops, conferences, meetings, and advice, we work to strengthen family ties and support life journeys, particularly those of people from immigrant backgrounds.

3- based on trust

Because solidarity knows no borders, we support humanitarian initiatives, primarily in Africa:

Donation drives
Shipments of school and medical supplies
Support for orphanages
Support for youth education and empowerment

Our ambition is to contribute, at our level, to sustainable change by promoting autonomy and strengthening human connections.
