A charity tournament in support of the right to education
Under the motto “A chance to go to school – a right for every child,” Hand on Heart e.V. dedicated 2022 to defending children’s rights.
This commitment was put into action through a charity tournament held on September 3, 2022, at Kieselhumes Stadium in Saarbrücken. The event was supported by Sparkasse Saarbrücken, C-GROS Saarbrücken and Familov.
The goal was to raise awareness about access to education and mobilize resources for schools in Cameroon.
Tournament schedule and activities
More than 200 spectators attended this solidarity event. The event began with a welcome speech by Ms. Nelly Mbaho.
A U12 football tournament featuring three teams was held. A men’s tournament followed, with Erythrea FC winning the final.
Additional activities included a raffle, children’s entertainment and food stands.
Impact, beneficiaries and acknowledgements
Funds raised were used to support several schools in Cameroon. Beneficiaries include several schools and the CAJEN orphanage.
