Essential support for education
On November 15, 2020, students from St. Kisito d’Ekangté school in Nkongsamba received new school uniforms, bringing pride and motivation to children from financially disadvantaged families. The ceremony, organized by Hand on Heart e.V. with the participation of Mrs. Hortense Nana and other members, began with a service in the school church followed by the official donation handover.
In a festive atmosphere, children, parents and teachers shared a moment of joy and pride despite the health crisis. The event was covered by local media, highlighting the importance and impact of this initiative on the school community.
Donations and beneficiaries
Thanks to the generosity of Sparkasse Saarbrücken, PROWIN Foundation, Saartoto, Dr. Fritz Trennheuser and the Schmidt family, Hand on Heart e.V. was able to transfer €5,000 to Cameroon to support the school. These funds made it possible to provide school uniforms to 120 children from disadvantaged families, giving them the means to attend school with dignity and equality.
In addition to the uniforms, the top 5 students in each class in 2019 (a total of 25 children) received school books and additional gifts to reward their performance. This initiative helps promote academic success and improve access to education for all children.
