A gesture of solidarity in the face of urgent needs

On October 31, 2020, a 40-foot container filled with donated goods left the port of Antwerp for Cameroon, providing essential support to communities affected by war, poverty and the COVID-19 pandemic. This initiative, organized by Hand on Heart e.V., aimed to supply health centers, orphanages, schools and displaced people with essential goods and equipment.

The container was filled with clothing, furniture, household appliances, hospital beds, wheelchairs, medical and laboratory equipment, toys, school supplies, sports equipment and food, transforming unused items into valuable resources for those who need them most. Thanks to the commitment of donors, this shipment, with a total value of €22,000, was successfully carried out as planned, despite the constraints of the health crisis.

Reception and distribution of donations

In early November 2020, the container arrived in Nkongsamba, where the shipment was eagerly awaited by health centers, orphanages and local schools. The donations were carefully sorted and distributed to meet priority needs, improving access to healthcare, education and living conditions for many vulnerable children and families.

This action helped transform unused goods into concrete resources, providing local communities with medical equipment, school supplies and essential items that make a real difference in everyday life. The impact of this initiative highlights the strength of solidarity and the concrete commitment of Hand on Heart e.V. and its partners.
